Oysters are the famous delicacy of Hiroshima Prefecture. Enjoy a stop at an oyster farm where you will get to observe how the professionals carefully shucked oysters without risking damage when inserting the tip of the knife into the hinge of the shell. (*only available from November to March.)
Saijo is one of the three major brewing districts in Japan. Visit the sake breweries to discover the authentic taste and learn the production process of the world’s best sake from toji (master brewers) in person.
The centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine is registered as a world heritage site and known for its striking red torii gate submerged in the water which perfectly achieved harmony with nature. During high tide, the shrine and its torii gate seemingly float in the sea. Later in the day during low tide, you could walk out to the torii gate.
Saijo is Japan’s great brewing district with several old sake breweries within a walkable distance.
After visiting breweries, enjoy bishu-nabe (a hot pot simmered using a high-grade sake, originated in Saijo) at the directly-managed restaurant. Later on, visit the captivating historical district Takehara which flourished by the salt-making industry.

You can stop at Miyahama hot spring and soak away travel fatigue.
Miyajima(Itsukushima) is one of the three great views of Japan, famous for the iconic torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine seemingly floating in the sea. When approaching the Itsukushima shrine, you will encounter a shopping street that stretches 350 meters long and is lined with nearly 70 shops offering souvenirs and local delicacies of Hiroshima. Once you get food from a food stand and enjoy it while walking around, you will be sure to blend in with the locals.
